TC fabric is a blend of polyester and cotton — most commonly in a 65% polyester / 35% cotton ratio. It is the single most widely used material across Rwanda’s garment factories, and for good reason.
By combining two fibres, TC takes the best of both. Cotton brings a soft hand-feel, breathability and sweat absorption that suit Rwanda’s hot, tropical climate, while polyester adds strength, shrink resistance, wrinkle resistance and better colour-fastness under strong sunshine.
Three TC fabrics we supply
We stock three mainstream TC constructions for buyers across Rwanda:
- TC Twill / Drill — a thick twill weave for workwear, security uniforms and school trousers. Sturdy, wear-resistant and slow to fade, even under long outdoor exposure.
- TC Single Jersey — a smooth plain knit, ideal for everyday T-shirts, innerwear and children’s clothing. Affordable, with stable dimensions after washing.
- TC Pique — a honeycomb-textured knit, the standard for polo shirts and school sports uniforms, with high breathability for hot weather.
Why factories choose TC over 100% cotton
Compared with pure cotton, TC fabric costs less, shrinks less, dyes more easily and holds its colour better. That balance of price and performance is why most Rwandan uniform contractors and small tailoring workshops choose TC for their bulk orders.
At AC BETTER, we produce TC fabric in custom weights and colours to match your requirement, and we provide free swatches so you can check the quality before you commit. Contact us for a quotation.
